Bhutan Computer Incident Response Team (BtCIRT) under the Department of IT and Telecom is observing a week-long cybersecurity awareness campaign from 5-8 December, 2022. Following the first ever cybersecurity week in 2021, this year’s theme is ‘See Yourself Cyber Safe‘. During this week, a series of events and activities will be coordinated by the Department and two other Dzongkhag Administrations.
Agenda
Day 1 of the Cybersecurity Week brings in different speakers (ICT professionals) from different backgrounds for the Cybersecurity Symposium covering full breadth of cybersecurity ecosystem. The presentation slides for the symposium are available here.
On Day 2 and 3, Cybersecurity Bootcamp will be held where students from the College of Science and Technology, Jigme Namgyel Engineering College and the Royal Institute of Management will undergo hands-on Information Security Workshop and a fun ‘Capture the Flag’ competition among students.
The open Cybersecurity Awareness on Day 4 will be conducted targeting the general public for their understanding of prevalent cybersecurity threats and cybersecurity best practices in the online world. The two Dzongkhags, Tsirang and Zhemgang will join the cybersecurity week initiative by conducting cybersecurity quizzes (online) among the general public.
